IMF says Ukraine conflict hurts Russian economy less than expected
WASHINGTON, Jul 13 (PRIME) -- The conflict in Ukraine has hurt the Russian economy less than was initially expected, Director of the Communications Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Julie Kozak told PRIME on Thursday.
"In general, the effect of the war on the Russian economy remains significant, yet milder than initially expected," Kozak said.
The official said that the IMF would release a new forecast for the Russian economy in July.
